Our Mission Statement says it all: ClubFEM-ABQ is a role-specific social organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating sincere Female Dominant/male submissive relationships.

About ClubFEM-ABQ

FEM is an acronym for "Females Enslaving Males". The term "club" does not refer to a place or location but an organization of people coming together based on their mutual interest of Female Domination and male submission.

ClubFEM-ABQ is not only a part of a larger, international organization, it is also a place within the Pan-sexual Albuquerque BDSM community for Dominant Women and submissive men to get to know each other and explore our chosen roles of Female Dominant and male submissive. As with everything else in Albuquerque, this chapter has it's own unique flavor and way of doing things. ClubFEM-ABQ is different from most pan-sexual BDSM organizations by being exclusively a FEMALE DOMINANT/male submissive group. For this organization, Women are physically females and males are physically male. We do not accept dominant men and submissive Women as members, although some of our members may be switches. Our events, however, are strictly role-specific and switching at a ClubFEM-ABQ event is not allowed.

In ClubFEM-ABQ, Women are in control at all times.

ClubFEM-ABQ is a safe place for dominant Women and submissive men of any experience level and relationship status to get to know each other in a welcoming, supportive atmosphere. In ClubFEM-ABQ, experienced Dominant Women mentor novices and promote the art of Female Domination in a positive, caring and affirming manner.

Our events may not look like traditional pan-sexual BDSM events in that SM play is not always the main focus. ClubFEM-ABQ is oriented more towards D/s and service to the Dominant Women by the submissive men.

ClubFEM-ABQ welcomes Dominant Women and submissive males of any age, (over 21, of course) race, size or shape. If you are new, we will mentor you. If you are closeted, we will never "out" you. We will respect everyone's confidentiality - what happens in ClubFEM-ABQ stays in ClubFEM-ABQ! (unless we have consented to post photos on Fetlife, that is).

The mission of ClubFEM-ABQ is to provide a safe, non-judgmental and respectful place for us to explore the magic that is the Female Dominant/male submissive relationship dynamic. Some members may be couples, but in this community, there are both Dominant and submissive singles. The average age for most ClubFEM members is 40 or older.

Each ClubFEM Chapter has a Head Mistress that is screened and approved by Head Mistress Ella of Club FEM International. Each Head Mistress must agree to abide by the rules and bylaws of the parent organization. ClubFEM-ABQ members in good standing may contact the Head Mistress of other chapters and request to attend their events when traveling.

I encourage anyone interested in this ClubFEM chapter to join Fetlife.com. (see link at bottom of page) We have our own group - ClubFEM-ABQ and another local and very active FemDomme-friendly Fetlife group - New Mexico Fetlifers. Fetlife is a wonderful FREE social networking site similiar to Facebook and MySpace - but the photos are way more interesting. ClubFEM-ABQ is Self-Supporting and Non-Professional

ClubFEM-ABQ is self-supporting through modest yearly membership dues and the generous contributions of our grateful members. ClubFEM-ABQ expenses include this website and web hosting, design and printing of fliers, basic party supplies like bottled water, paper plates and cups, plastic ware and the rental of dungeon space for our play parties. HM Silverthorn has paid for everything so far and she hopes that as membership increases, expenses will be shared by the group.

Some of the Dominant Women in our community may be professional dominants as well as lifestyle dominants. If you are not sure of the difference, please see HM Silverthorn's page for an explanation. Our events are non-professional. This is a rule from the parent organization that each Head Mistress agrees to enforce.

ClubFEM History

ClubFEM was started in late 1992 by Head Mistress Dee and slave gene to provide an organization for Women and men with an interest in Female Domination.

Originally, ClubFEM activities consisted of socializing, wearing fetish apparel, showing off BDSM (bondage/discipline/sado-masochism) equipment, and taking posed photos. There was very little dungeon play, if any at all. At this time, all correspondence was conducted by snail mail and slave gene wrote several articles that were published in magazines. A quarterly newsletter was mailed out to interested individuals. Head Mistress Dee and slave gene attended parties held by other fetish groups in Houston but found that they were mostly male dominant/Female submissive events. However, at these events, they were able to meet other people who were also interested in a strictly Female Dominant/male submissive venue and the ClubFEM membership began to grow.

With the advent of the internet, the ClubFEM website was created. Slave gene, as official secretary for Head Mistress Dee, became inundated with requests for information and membership. To their surprise, Head Mistress Dee and slave gene realized there were thousands of individuals, both male and Female, who were dedicated to Female Domination worldwide.

After founding ClubFEM and presiding as Grand Head Mistress for 14 years, Mistress Dee formally announced her retirement in August, 2005. She expressed her gratitude that Mistress Ella and Mistress Modesty (aka LustyLadyDom) had taken leadership in ClubFEM International and announced that it is with her blessings that Ms. Modesty and Ms. Ella replace her as Headmistresses for the Houston chapter as well. In May, 2007, slave gene retired as the secretary of ClubFEM Houston to move to Jacksonville, FL to live with his new Mistress/Owner and to begin the now thriving ClubFEM of Northeast Florida. In May, 2009 Mistress Modesty resigned her position as co-Head Mistress due to the increasing demands of her professional career. Head Mistress Ella remains the Head Mistress of ClubFEM Houston and ClubFEM International.

Like everything else in Albuquerque, we do things in our own unique and quirky way.
